UTI or Urinary Tract Infection

One of the most common and serious gynecologic issues that affect women of all ages is UTI. This mostly happens when bacteria from the vagina, or anus, spread to the urine, bladder, and, in rare circumstances, the kidneys.

Causes

Women may be more affected if they have issues with their pelvic muscles or nerves, have a more constrained urinary system, or have blockages in their urethra, bladder, or kidneys.

Symptoms

A burning feeling while peeing, dark urine, a strong odor, or a tint of blood in the urine are all signs of a UTI. You can feel fever, chills, backache, nausea, vomiting, or other symptoms if the infection damages your kidneys.

Treatment

You will be given an antibiotic prescription. The time and dosage may change depending on how bad the infection is.
